What’s Happening Underneath Our Feet?

Anything else you’re interested in is not going to happen if you can’t breathe the air and drink the water. Don’t sit this one out. Do something.”
– Carl Sagan

It is a fundamental pillar of modern civilization. This post is dedicated to our city’s infrastructure. Vancouver combines utility with artistic flair.

  1. I really enjoy some of the manhole artwork around the city. Sometimes it gets a little dangerous walking across the street and looking down though!

    1. I agree – I had a lookout when I was taking the photo on a side street. I rarely look down when I cross the street – perhaps that’s the reasons why I’ve missed “manhole artwork” over the years. These artists are amazing. Thank you for your comment!!
