  1. Authentic lamp of a bygone era. Many households without access to electricity utilized these lamps as their primary source of light. As a note of interest the wick had to be kept quite low or the glass would become cloudy with black residue.

    • Your comments remind me of the quote by J. Parker, “Keep your flame lit, and you will never feel darkness.” It seems that trimming a lamp was an art form.
