  1. Authentic lamp of a bygone era. Many households without access to electricity utilized these lamps as their primary source of light. As a note of interest the wick had to be kept quite low or the glass would become cloudy with black residue.

    1. Your comments remind me of the quote by J. Parker, “Keep your flame lit, and you will never feel darkness.” It seems that trimming a lamp was an art form.
