An evening concert in the mountains – with children as musicians – still lingers softly in my mind many years later. When the instruments were put away, the earth continued to hum the musical refrain.
“And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music.”
― Friedrich Nietzsche
Missing the music and dance is much like not taking the time to see and smell the flowers. I received an email this morning saying that we should live our lives with passion, purpose and focus. Perhaps we should purpose to “hear and dance” to the music and “see and smell” the flowers. However, I am sure Nietzsche was talking about something more important….
