The Way of Progress

The contrast of past and present is most clearly seen where the ocean meets land.  The anchor rests, its task completed – but the machines of progress continue.

  2. Commenting on progress and oceans–I would recommend “Atlantic” by. Simon Winchester. Besides being very interesting, it is a great resource book.
