Beautiful picture and great quote – love Thoreau!
I knew you would love the quote!! Like you, I never tire of Thoreau.
Let’s think about the good old days. No automatic dishwashers, the laundry without automatic washing machine and dryer. No vacuum cleaners, dish washing detergent that actually makes suds and lots of other things we take for granted today. If you think of all the good things like sitting by the fireplace, taking a long time to enjoy reading with the children, meeting with friends for coffee and visit around our favorite board games or a night of bridge. Then the “good old days” have a lot to teach us.
An excellent perspective – what would we do without our microwaves?!!!
