Today, my friends welcomed a son into their lives. And the world welcomed new parents and a family. I received the message and precious photo via text from the hospital. Friendship – a word that expresses the power of community.

Congratulations to the new parents. Isn’t it wonderful that we can see photos so soon–even minutes after the little one arrives in the hospital. We used to wait days, even weeks for those first photos!

I love our technology! Our ability to document our lives has made dramatic leaps over the last decade. I can only imagine what the next decade will bring…Guess we will need to stay tuned….
