Travel Weaves a Tapestry

Standard

Our world is open to all, but it relies on our eyes and ears to accept and cherish the stories that come to us through our journeys.  Travelling is weaving a tapestry of fresh colours, ideas and dreams.

“Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends.
Maya Angelou

A Day of Peace – September 21, 2012

Standard

Each year, on September 21, the International Day of Peace is observed around the world.  We live in a global community that must come today to seek ways in which to build a future that is sustainable.  May we find ways to bring peace in our lives and share it with others…

If we have no peace, it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.
Mother Teresa

“We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.”
Dalai Lama

Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.
Albert Einstein
