One Step at a Time

Remember – you can only take one step at a time, no matter how fast you are running.

“It is a mistake to try to look too far ahead. The chain of destiny can only be grasped one link at a time.”

  1. We need to keep our eyes wide open for that one step, if we don’t ,we just might stumble. And, we might just miss the opportunity that step offers. I love your rooster, Henning zu!

    1. So very true!!! And it seems the fastest we move, the greater the chance of stumbling…and missing the opportunity. Thank you so much for your comments…

    1. Vancouver, Canada – right near City Hall! They seem to be going in different directions, but they all end up going the same way in the end…Thanks for stopping by – much appreciated!

  2. Hi Rebecca

Thank you for visiting and liking soulsnet. I appreciate your support. The next post at soulsnet is about Destinations and how we miss so much of the journey when we are always focused on the destination. Your One Step at a Time Photograph will be a great enhancement so I would like to share it if that is OK with you. I will link back and credit you of course.

Your blog is really thought provoking and I love the strapline for Chasing Art, “Searching the ordinary for the extraordinary.” That’s really what the journey is all about isn’t it?

    Warm regards

  3. And thanks to you too, Rebecca. Your lovely strap line “searching the ordinary for the extraordinary” largely inspired it. I hope you will visit and enjoy.

    Have a lovely day

    1. You have given me a beautiful start for the day!! I’m delighted that we have connected – looking forward to our ongoing discussion. It is a lovely Vancouver morning and I’m heading out to walk the Sea Wall. My thought for today is from Buddha: “It is better to travel well than to arrive.”

  5. I am reading about all your adventures etc etc etc. You sure don’t tippy toe around.

About those steps. Some of us take a life time to even take some first steps. 😦 My blogging is like little bitty baby steps.

    1. And here I thought that I was running to keep up with you!! I started blogging to fulfill my father’s last request to write – something that was far, far removed from my career path. He has been gone for one year – every time I publish a post I think of him. He taught me life was full of possibilities – I just had to reach out!!!

  6. Keep up with me. lol If you can wiggle your big toe, you would pass me. Blogging is a new experience for me. I am not even sure what I do is blogging. Sometimes I am tempted to start another blog and do it right……whatever that means. But I guess we have to just step to our own tune.

  7. Oh dear! The pressure is on. lol

Our election is consuming so much of my time now that I hardly can think what to write. (Not that thinking more would make it any better.)
But tomorrow is so important and I fear the bitterness that will follow no matter who wins. And it really does affect the rest of the world too. But the earth won’t stop spinning.

I am trying to read your whole October blog. I like your 1 or 2 word titles. I think if you find an interesting person, you have to go back a bit to get a feel. In some blogs a post rather stands by itself. But in others you want to go back and start at the beginning. I don’t think any of my blog would make sense unless some earlier stuff was read. lol

    1. I’m Canadian – and we are all watching our neighbours to the south and holding our breaths on your election. My posts are more about thoughts than events, although sometimes I will talk about my life. LadyBudd is my daily blog while Clanmother is a venue for discussions that have always been of interest to me. It is mostly about connections and the way in which we conduct our lives that will give meaning to our existence and participation. Glad that we connected over the “blogger” miles…
