Christmas is four weeks away – the countdown is on until the feast and holiday cheer season. It is a wonderful celebration with the lights, hot chocolate and cookies, ham, turkey, potatoes, cranberries, eggnog…I can hardly wait!
There is only one little problem: January 1st comes shortly thereafter. This is resolution time! I am one of those people who make resolutions. It is always the same, year after year: I will lose the 7 (it seems to be a consistent number) pounds that I gained over the holidays by the end of January. There is a reason for the deadline. January 31st is when my resolution enthusiasm losses much of the pizzazz.
This year, I thought that I would be brilliantly proactive. I am making a December 1st resolution to increase my fitness regime over the next month. To get me into the spirit, the week will be dedicated to fitness. I can hardly wait to start – (I still have a few days rest until December 1st – I don’t want to rush things along)

I agree! But wait until you see the rain and more rain and more rain (I’ll post pictures) … There was a month this year that it rained everyday. We call it liquid sunshine. The good part is that when I am 80 years old, I will look 60!!

“Liquid sunshine”….must remember that one. But with such a beautiful exercise room, wet or otherwise, you are bound to succeed with your exercise plans.

I’ll keep you posted!! I usually stop along the way to smell the flowers and then there are those wonderful coffee shops that call to me like the sirens of old….

Aha!! Exercise and good eating habits have been around and encouraged for a long time. Even Hippocrates talked about it!

And he should know – he was the best physician of his time and is talked about even today. Now that is a legacy!!!

I am tempted to wish you good luck with your resolution, but I just know that you won’t need it – I am confident that you will achieve anything that you decide to do 🙂

Thank you for the vote of confidence. I feel the energy starting to flow. By the way, I think a good pairing for Haggis is Dougie McLean. What do you think?

I do not know Dougie’s music, but having had a bit of a look, he would seem a perfect Haggis-match! I will add him to my LT wish list!
