The Fitness Spirit

Christmas is four weeks away – the countdown is on until the feast and holiday cheer season.   It is a wonderful celebration with the lights, hot chocolate and cookies, ham, turkey, potatoes, cranberries, eggnog…I can hardly wait!

There is only one little problem: January 1st comes shortly thereafter.  This is resolution time!  I am one of those people who make resolutions.  It is always the same, year after year:  I will lose the 7 (it seems to be  a consistent number)  pounds that I gained over the holidays by the end of January. There is a reason for the deadline. January 31st is when my resolution enthusiasm losses much of the pizzazz.

This year, I thought that I would be brilliantly proactive.  I am making a December 1st resolution to increase my fitness regime over the next month.  To get me into the spirit, the week will be dedicated to fitness. I can hardly wait to start – (I still have a few days rest until December 1st – I don’t want to rush things along)

    1. I agree! But wait until you see the rain and more rain and more rain (I’ll post pictures) … There was a month this year that it rained everyday. We call it liquid sunshine. The good part is that when I am 80 years old, I will look 60!!

  1. “Liquid sunshine”….must remember that one. But with such a beautiful exercise room, wet or otherwise, you are bound to succeed with your exercise plans.

    1. I’ll keep you posted!! I usually stop along the way to smell the flowers and then there are those wonderful coffee shops that call to me like the sirens of old….

  2. I am tempted to wish you good luck with your resolution, but I just know that you won’t need it – I am confident that you will achieve anything that you decide to do 🙂
